The trek (9 km one-way) starts from Alipiri Gate. We start at 4 AM for cooler temperatures. The alternative is a TTD bus from Tirupati to Tirumala (no trek needed).
Traditional Indian attire — saree/churidar for women; dhoti, veshti or long trousers for men. Western shorts and sleeveless tops are not permitted inside the temple.
Yes. We visit TTD emporia and established weavers in Kanchipuram for authentic Kanjivaram silk sarees directly from the source. We avoid tourist trap shops.
Yes. TTD operates tonsure halls at Tirumala and Tirupati. We can pre-book and arrange this on Day 2. Inform us at the time of booking.
