Indian Rupees (₹) are accepted at most places in Nepal at a rate of approximately 1 INR = 1.6 NPR. Exchange some cash at Kathmandu airport for convenience.
Pokhara is one of the top 10 paragliding sites in the world — stable thermals and experienced pilots. Minimum age 8 years, maximum weight 100 kg. No experience needed — tandem flights only.
Not the summit, but from Sarangkot or Nagarkot viewpoints you can see Annapurna, Machhapuchhre (Fishtail) and sometimes Manaslu. Clear mornings (October–April) are best.
Nepalese Rupee (NPR). Indian Rupees are also accepted widely. We recommend exchanging some NPR at Kathmandu airport for small purchases.
